The Kaituna Bar Cam runs off of solar power and can experience intermittent down time after repeated rainy days or if there are issues with the streaming site. The cam is currently working but our contractors are installing streaming software, so the cam is not currently visible to the public.
Please remember it is the skipper’s responsibility to determine whether or not to cross a bar. If in doubt please do not attempt to cross the bar.
Our Bar cameras are only one of the aids available to skippers to help them make the decision on whether it’s safe to cross a bar.
