Community Initiatives Fund

The Community Initiatives Fund was established to support projects that support/enhance the work of Council and that are not eligible for other Council funding.

Community and Volunteer Initiatives Fund recipients confirmed through the Long Term Plan 2024-2034 are.

• Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whakaue ki Maketu
• Western Bay of Plenty Heritage Trust (Western Bay Museum)

• Bay Conservation Alliance
• Envirohub
• Sea Cleaners Trust

Applications are currently closed.

The next funding round is expected to open in July/August 2027.
