Active Remediation notification form

Here are two forms to use when notifying Bay of Plenty Regional Council of any active remediation works of contaminated land.

Notification of start of works

Use this form to notify us of the remediation of contaminated land in accordance with Rule DW R24 (Rule 34) Permitted – Active Remediation of Contaminated Land (e.g. petroleum tank pulls).

Note: Condition (f) of Rule DW R24 (Rule 34) Permitted – Active Remediation of Contaminated Land requires the submission of a site validation report (SVR) to Regional Council within three (3) months of the completion of the work. Please follow the link here to submit the report.

The information gained from this notification form will assist Bay of Plenty Regional Council in the delivery of its RMA Section 30(1)(ca) function which is “the investigation of land for the purposes of identifying and monitoring contaminated land”.
