Decisions on proposed Regional Pest Management Plan for the Bay of Plenty Region

Pursuant to section 75(4) of the Biosecurity Act 1993

The Council has made its decisions on submissions received to the Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan.

The decisions version of the Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan and the report on the submissions are available on the Council’s website and can also be viewed between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday at the Regional Council offices at:

  • 5 Quay Street, Whakatāne
  • Corner Fenton and Pukaki streets, Rotorua
  • Regional House,1 Elizabeth Street, Tauranga

Application to the Environment Court

Pursuant to section 75(3) of the Biosecurity Act 1993

The following matters may be the subject of an application to the Environment Court:

(a) any aspect of the plan:

(b) whether the plan is inconsistent with the national policy direction:

(c) whether the process requirements for a plan in the national policy direction, if there were any, were complied with.

Only those people who were submitters to the proposed Regional Pest Management Plan may make an Application the Environment Court about the plan.

Any application to the Environment Court must be made within 15 working days after the date of this public notice.
