Onekawa Te Mawhai Regional Park and Ohiwa Domain Pest Animal Control Operation
Please be aware that the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, in partnership with the Ohiwa Care Group and Opotiki District Council intends to undertake rodent and
possum control within the Onekawa Te Mawhai Regional Park and neighbouring Ohiwa Domain. The operation will commence on or around October 6 and is expected to last until November 30.
Bait stations will be filled with Pindone pellets. Pindone pellets are blue/green in colour, cylindrical in shape and approximately 2cm long.
Warning signs will be placed at public access points. Please observe all signage if entering the treatment areas.
For your safety:
- Do not touch bait
- Deadly to dogs
- Watch children at all times
- Do not eat animals taken from this area
- Do not allow dog’s access to animal carcases
