Bay of Plenty Regional Council organises and supports many awards throughout the Bay of Plenty. Each award focuses on a different area. Find out more information on Regional Council awards by going to the relevant pages.

Community Initiatives Fund

Groups and organisations can apply for Community Initiatives Funding as part of submitting to the Long Term Plan 2018-2028. There have been some great projects supported through the Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) and we look forward to many more helping Council achieve its outcomes.

He Toka Tumoana Scholarship for Tertiary Students

He Toka Tumoana Scholarship was launched in memory of the late Councillor Awanui Black. Two scholarships valued at $5000 each will be awarded to students who live or have whakapapa within the Bay of Plenty and are enrolled in a course related to environmental or water management, planning and/or mātauranga Māori.

Helping Hand

All around the Bay of Plenty region there are many environmental projects led by locals - people who are planning and acting with inspirational vision and commitment for the future.

Environmental Enhancement Fund

The Environmental Enhancement Fund supports local projects that aim to enhance, preserve or protect the region's natural or historic character.

Regional Infrastructure Fund

The Regional Infrastructure Fund has been established to promote sustainable regional economic development, and promote environmental protection and enhancement that supports sustainable regional economic development in the Bay of Plenty.
