Proposed Plan Change 9 Previous Information
The Proposed Plan Change 9 - Region-wide Water Quantity was notified for public submissions on 18 October 2016. The submissions period closed on 14 December 2016. Further submissions were publicly notified on Tuesday, 30 May 2017 and have now closed. Hearings were held from 14 to 16 March 2018. On 6 April Council responded via a memo to the hearing panel's questions. The hearings closed on Friday 20 April 2018 and the panel is now deliberating and considering its recommendations which will be presented to Regional Councillors on 27 June.

Note: Under section 86B of the Resource Management Act all plan changes affecting water have effect when notified (18 October 2016).
By 14 December 2016, 66 submissions were received. Sixteen late submissions were also acknowledged and approved for inclusion in the process.

This chart is indicative only: some submitters will have interests across a range of sectors, however the chart allocates each submitter to a single sector, based on Council's understanding of the submitter's primary interests.
