Proposed Plan Change 9 Previous Information

The Proposed Plan Change 9 - Region-wide Water Quantity was notified for public submissions on 18 October 2016. The submissions period closed on 14 December 2016. Further submissions were publicly notified on Tuesday, 30 May 2017.  Hearings were held from 14 to 16 March 2018. On 6 April Council responded via a memo to the hearing panel's questions. The hearings closed on Friday 20 April 2018. On 27 August 2018, the Hearing Committee provided Council with their Report and Recommendations on Proposed Plan Change 9. The Regional Direction and Delivery Committee adopted these recommendations as Council decisions on 18 September 2018 and those decisions were publicly notified on 9 October 2018.

Note: Under section 86B of the Resource Management Act all plan changes affecting water have effect when notified (18 October 2016).

Submissions Received

By 14 December 2016, 66 submissions were received. Sixteen late submissions were also acknowledged and approved for inclusion in the process.
