Papamoa stormwater reserves

Kaiate Falls (also known as Te Rerekawau Falls) offers well formed walking tracks, although quite steep in some places.
The main track leads to the top, and then to the base of the upper series of falls before continuing downhill to the lower falls. Another track, just below the car park, follows the stream back to the road bridge. Depending which tracks you take, expect a walking time of up to 60 minutes return.

Mauao (Mt Maunganui)
Stroll around the base or venture higher up to enjoy the breathtaking views this mountain has to offer.
The base track is 3.4 km and takes about 45 minutes to walk. The summit is 232m high – it takes about 40 minutes to get to the top. Find out more>>
