Clean below? Good to go. Have your say!

Pests know no boundaries which is why along with our regional partners from Auckland, Waikato and Northland we believe there needs to be more consistent rules to combat the increasing number of bio security threats.

With support from the Ministry for Primary Industries, the four regional councils are exploring whether consistent hull-fouling rules would be a better way forward. There are three key proposals and as part of the process we are seeking feedback on what the rules could look like.

If new rules were adopted, agencies would also need to consider implementation implications such as roles and responsibilities, where costs should lie and how these should be funded.
