SmartGrowth is a programme aimed at developing and implementing a plan for managing growth in the western Bay of Plenty. This programme's social, economic and environmental goals can be achieved in a sustainable way leading up to 2050 and is being led by Bay of Plenty Regional Council, Tauranga City Council, Western Bay of Plenty District Council, and Tangata Whenua, on behalf of the community.
