Air Quality Education Resources

Bay of Plenty Council hosted an Energy in the Air teacher workshop in May 2013. The aim was to unpack the links between Energy and Air in the context of Rotorua’s air pollution issues. Below are some of the resources used in the workshop.

Resources for primary school teachers

  • Pollution Busters - An educational children's  programme produced by Bay of Plenty Regional Council. Newsletter editions 32, 46 and 48 focus on air quality.

  • Take Action for Air - A teaching kit from Greater Wellington Regional Council on air quality.

  • Clear the Air - An activity booklet from Waikato Regional Council about the causes of winter air pollution, and how to improve home heating and enhance air quality.

  • A Breath of Fresh Air -A lesson resource from Environment Canterbury.

  • Squawk - The May 2013 edition of Environment Southland's education newlsetter focussed on air quality.
