Help us shape the future of the Rangitaiki River

Tuesday, 17 June 2014 12:09 p.m.

The Rangitaiki River Forum is drafting a document that will set the direction on how to improve the health of the Rangitaiki River and its tributaries over the next 50 to 100 years. The Forum wants those with an interest in the River and its catchment to have their say in what that future looks like and the pathway to get there.

Rangitaiki River Forum Chair, Bronco Carson, explained.

“This is an important document that will guide us and future generations on how we manage this incredible resource.

“The Rangitaiki has a lot of significance for different communities for a wide range of reasons from traditional food gathering, to farming and recreation. We want to hear about the future that people see for the river and help us build a path to get there,” Mr Carson said.
