Sustainable Business Network - Events
Monday, 7 March 2011 9:00 a.m.
There are three Sustainable Business Network events coming up in our region; GreenDrinks in Tauranga and Whakatane and the Economics of a Finite World - Forum.
The March GreenDrinks invites two high profile speakers to present on the recently established Govt Advisory Group on 'green' economic growth. Come along to hear BNZ's Sustainable Development Manager Michael Field and CEO of Zespri, Lain Jager.
Through a unique partnership between the Sustainable Business Network - BOP, the Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Bay of Plenty Regional Council, the annual St Patricks Day GreenDrinks is nearly upon us. As always, GreenDrinks presents an opportunity for local business to network and learn more about how to incorporate sustainability into their business practices.
Economics of Finite World - Forum
Presented by Sustainable Business Network and Tauranga Environment Centre Charitable Trust. Rod Oram, Jeanette Fitzsimons and Cath Wallace are this year's key note speakers. This forum is open for the speakers to discuss their experience, research, findings and ideas surrounding the status of how New Zealand perceives growth (economically and socially) and whether or not they believe if economic growth is ever ecologically sustainable, why? If not, what are the alternatives?
