On-Site Effluent Treatment Regional Plan
The On-Site Effluent Treatment Regional Plan 2006 deals with the effects of domestic wastewater on water quality in the Bay of Plenty. On-site effluent treatment systems include septic tanks and associated soakage fields and advanced aerobic systems.
Plan Change 2 (Maintenance Zones) - Operative from 12 August 2014
Plan Change 2 (Maintenance Zones) will become operative on 12 August 2014.
Proposed Plan Change 2 (Maintenance Zones) was formally notified for public submissions on 27 November 2012.
31 submissions and eight further submissions were received. The Hearing Committee appointed by Bay of Plenty Regional Council heard all submissions on 13 and 14 June 2013 and presented their recommendations to Regional Council on 21 August 2013. Council subsequently made its decisions at its meeting on 21 August 2013 and these decisions were formally notified on 10 September 2013.
One appeal was received relating to the Papakāinga housing provisions of the plan for the Western Bay of Plenty District and Tauranga City. This appeal impacted on rules 3, 5, 12 and 14 and was resolved by Consent Order on 4 June 2014.
