What's the plan Stan - New Zealand Civil DefenceStan

This resource includes unit plans for junior, middle and senior primary, these are accompanied with lesson plans, fact sheets, relevant stories and suggested activities. It is available in both the English and Maori languages.
What's the Plan Stan seeks to improve awareness and understanding of the hazards we face in New Zealand. It also promotes emergency preparedness in primary and intermediate schools by providing teachers and students with the knowledge and skills to act in a safe manner when a disaster occurs. Students' increased awareness and understanding may also prompt their parents, families and communities to be better prepared.
Each school in New Zealand should have been provided with a copy of this resource, but it can also be downloaded in full or in part from their web site.
