The seven district councils in the Bay of Plenty collect and administer most rates on behalf of the Regional Council.

Bay of Plenty Regional Council collects and administers rates for:
- Minor Rivers and Drainage Schemes targeted rates.
- Clean-heat conversion targeted rates (depending on your service level agreement).

Rates for 2013-2014
Your rates are assessed annually. The schedule of rates charged are contained in the funding impact statement published in the Ten Year Plan or Annual Plan.
Remission and Postponement Policies
The Regional Council aligns its general policy on the remission and postponement of rates with the policies and objectives of each of the seven city and district councils. For further details please contact your rating district.
Specific policy on postponement and remissions for Bay of Plenty Regional Council are the Environmental Loan Repayment Scheme and the Forestry and Bush remission.
