Rotorua Air Quality Joint Committee - Disestablished
The Rotorua Air Quality Joint Committee was established as a permanent Joint Committee until 31 August 2015. However with agreement from its joint partner, Rotorua District Council, the committee was dis-established in March 2011.
The Bay of Plenty Regional Council and Rotorua District Council agreed that the actions of the Committee could be better addressed outside of the formal committee process. Each authority acknowledged the importance of maintaining partner relationships in regards to air quality, and agreed that this would be better achieved through regular meetings and formal reporting as required.
